In depth

Verdict

It's hard to oppose STRICTLY DANCING who got top marks from the judges for her run at Chester; Poppy Seed and Twice As Nice may be the two to follow her home. Andrew Balding gave the Danehill Dancer filly a favourable mention earlier in the season and she didn't disappoint on her return to action at Chester where she faced little chance against the red-hot favourite Safina. She did run her to a length which flatters her somewhat but it was still a very taking performance and she should have little difficulty calling the tune in this company although the drop in trip could cause a problem. Poppy Seed has shown promise on both starts and appears to have enough ability to win races but she may be more at home in handicap company as may Twice As Nice who will need to step up on his run at Warwick if he's to trouble the judge. Aleqa and Serious Matters both look sure to improve with time as well but this is all about Strictly Dancing.
