Verdict
Hoh Mike is a capable performer and deserves to get his head in front in a race of this nature but more solid claims are held by Desert Lord, who gets the vote with Enticing rated the pick of the remainder. The selection put a couple of below par efforts behind him when finding just the two-year-old Kingsgate Native too good in the Group 1 Nunthorpe last month and a reproduction of that form really should suffice for Kevin Ryan's gelding. Mutawaajid lost no caste in defeat in Haydock's Sprint Cup last time and has to be respected along with Richard Hannon's relatively lightly raced Sonny Red. Andrew Balding's Siren's Gift has more to do than when landing a conditions race at Leicester last time and a bigger threat is likely to come from the consistent Enticing. Desert Lord has solid claims though and he is preferred.
