In depth

Verdict

Jass, Hugo Hackenbush and Forest Pennant are the three to consider here and preference is for Hugo Hackenbush to make a winning debut. Forest Pennant was highly tried on his debut at Cheltenham, taking on previous winners and finishing a very respectable fourth. He hails from a yard that has churned out the winners this week and must go well with that experience under his belt. Dual bumper winner Jass is another coming from a yard in form and Keith Reveley¿s representative won well at Kelso last time, beating a previous winner in emphatic fashion. He carries a double penalty here but cannot be ruled out. Noel Chance runs Hugo Hackenbush who hails from a winning family. The trainer won this race three years ago with Red Ruffles and he reports that his runner today works significantly better than he did. Chance has had this race in mind for some time for the four-year-old and Hugo Hackenbush can lead them home.
