Verdict
An ordinary sprint can go to Cerulean Rose, who is readily preferred over Millinsky and Ballybunion. That said, each-way players could do worse than consider a small investment in Elvina, who ran her best race on turf a fortnight ago. The Tony Newcombe-trained filly is still open to improvement and, with her 3lb claimer leaving her with a featherweight to carry, she has very little to find to make the frame. Ballybunion is being kept really busy at the moment and is holding his form well. He is versatile regarding his best trip and should again run his race. Millinsky is a well-bred sort that comes here on the back of a confidence boosting win at Folkestone last week. However, a strict reading of the form linking her with the selection leaves the four-year-old with a little more to prove. Therefore, it appears to be a good opportunity for Cerulean Rose to gain some just compensation for several near misses of late. The drop back to the minimum trip is not expected to be a problem for the daughter of Bluegrass Prince, who need only run up to her recent level of form to defy top weight in this company.
