Verdict

Mac N Cheese was having his first run for almost two years when scooting away with a heavy-ground Perth handicap in September then found 2m4f too short from a 17lb higher mark when narrowly beaten into third behind Lough Derg Jewel at Ayr. Point The Way, three times a winner over hurdles, made a successful chasing debut when long odds-on at Kelso but had to survive a couple of bad errors and won't get away so easily here. ACDC (NAP) was having just his second start over fences when winning with a bit in hand at Ayr where he was well supported. He's only 3lb higher and Sean Bowen is a very positive booking. Lake View Lad, three times a winning hurdler, has run in better company in all starts over fences and ran well at Ayr last time though that was over an extended two miles.
