Beyond The Clouds (IRE) Has not raced on truly soft ground for over three years; coped with good to soft of late and looks well weighted today; excellent chance if handling the ground.
Kathology (IRE) Slowly slipping down to a decent handicap mark but does not seem to go as well on a soft surface; trip might be too sharp as well these days.
Lago di Varano Has been inconsistent this season and although running well at 5f on soft before is best left alone today.
Sharp Hat Excellent effort on soft ground at Haydock recently; does seem to improve for soft ground these days and is one to consider.
Flak Jacket Not been seen at his best of late and looks too high in the weights to be considered seriously.
College Maid (IRE) Seems better suited by 6f these days but capable on her day suited by this track; yet to prove she acts on soft.
Grey Cossack Inconsistent type who would have a squeak at the best of his form but otherwise would struggle.
Prince Pyramus Seems to have been getting steadily worse all season; seems to come to hand this time of the year and not without a chance at a decent price.
Blessingindisguise Has not been 'off' of late but would have excellent chance off this weight at the best of his form; has run well on heavy.
Soaked Would be a leading contender if reproducing form of last two starts; loves to dominate and could steal an unassailable lead here.
Speedy James (IRE) In and out performer who seems better suited by a firmer surface; not one to rely upon but trainer is the 'sprint king.'
Mary Jane Two good efforts of late in defeat; not as effective on soft but will run well if coming up any firmer.
Nifty Major Solid effort last time out at Ayr; reproduction of that run would see him go close and has form on soft in the past.
Westcourt Magic Has not been putting his best foot forward in recent runs but if reproducing form of early last year would eat these for breakfast.
Pertemps Fc Is better on faster ground but has fallen to a reasonable mark and capable of landing a place.
Pigeon Out of form of late and best avoided until showing signs of life.
Lady Lenor Recent efforts do not suggest a win is very likely.
Able Ayr Versatile performer who is not at his best on soft but trainer starting to hit form and this gelding has run well here before.
Peruvian Wave (USA) One good run this season but looks up against it at this trip and at these weights.
