Verdict

Lingfield winner Diamond Bay has a good strike rate on the all-weather and can figure again but AUTHOR’S DREAM (NAP) makes most appeal. The latter returned from a lay-off with a good effort over a longer trip at Goodwood and having won over today’s distance at Southwell early in the year, Bill Knight’s charge looks the one to side with. Haveyoumissedme finished runner-up when last racing over track and trip while Monticello finished second in a lower grade contest at Beverley but races from a long way out of the weights in this. Happy steps up in distance representing last year’s winning yard.
