In depth

Verdict

Better was expected from CALL OUT LOUD (NAP) at Southwell on New Year’s Day as he’d earlier finished a close-up fifth in a much tougher race than this at Chelmsford. A repeat of that effort would make Mick Appleby’s charge hard to beat in this company. Made Of Honour disappointed at Wolverhampton on her recent outing and headgear is applied for the first time on her second start after wind surgery while October’s winner at Cork, Fuwairt, debuts for new connections today and could go well. Portledge scored over track and trip in November and makes most appeal of the remainder.
