Verdict
Star Shield posted one of his occasional better efforts when placed at Haydock but it’s over a year since he last won while Makeen was narrowly beaten in a lower grade contest over track and trip last time. Thrave won an apprentices’ race over 7f here a week ago and escapes a penalty but WILD LION (NAP) makes most appeal. He won a maiden at the track on last month’s belated seasonal reappearance and there looks more to come from the Godolphin charge now handicapping.
