In depth
Verdict
In this maiden, Ann Bronte is selected ahead of Celestial Halo and Highland Legacy. Ann Bronte's second to Moon Empress at Lingfield last time marked her down as an improver and, with her stable being in good form, she can go well today. Celestial Halo is a 50,000 guineas son of Galileo who showed promise in just one start at two and he has to be given some thought. Highland Legacy showed some promise in a couple of juvenile races and he has the pedigree to go on at three. All in all, the remainder do not have much in the way of being able to build strong cases for them - although the market might tell a different story - which, in turn, returns us to the selection, Ann Bronte.
