In depth
Verdict
One Trick Pony has won his last two starts in similar grade and is taken to complete a hat-trick at the main expense of Ace Baby and Roonah. The last mentioned stepped up on his debut effort when a creditable two lengths third behind the selection at Thirsk last time. Mark Wallace's filly in now 8lbs better in with One Trick Pony on running that day and has to be respected but there is probably more to come from Bill Turner's youngster and he is preferred. Nottingham winner Ace Baby should appreciate the step up in trip but may want a softer surface, while Woodwee has shown promise of late but needs to improve. None of the newcomers make much appeal and the market may be the best guide as to the respective merits of Pat Haslam's three runners, so the safest option would look to be One Trick Pony, who gets the vote.
