Verdict
Joshar, Procrastinate, Turtle Magic and Straffan are the principles in this claiming stakes and a chance is taken on Procrastinate. The selection travelled well before fading in heavy ground over this course and distance behind Selkirk Storm last time. He is clearly not anything special but he will not need to be anything out of the ordinary to win this and with conditions more to suit here he is taken to score. Joshar finished third behind Speed Dial Harry last week at Southwell and if he can reproduce that effort he will be hard to beat. However, he had only previously shown moderate form and at the likely short odds he is probably worth taking on. Turtle Magic has not really progressed after showing promise in her first couple of starts and she is now stepped up in trip. Straffan is another stepped up in trip but she was finishing strongly at the finish when third behind Key Secret at Wolverhampton last time so the extra furlong may bring about further improvement. This is not an easy race to predict but we will take a chance on Procrastinate.
