In depth

Verdict

This is another strong heat and should provide a few pointers. Corinthia Knight overcame trouble in-running to land a Class 2 event over 6f at Kempton last month. He has won on Tapeta and is likely to give a good account again but TO WAFIJ (NAP) should take all the beating if taking to the all-weather. Roger Varian’s colt kept good company on Turf last season after making a winning start at Yarmouth. He never ran a bad race and was probably a bit unlucky in the Group 3 Cornwallis at Newmarket in October as he missed the break. Stone Of Destiny, Desert Doctor, Nearest Green and Lord Of The Glen all need to take a significant step forward to follow up recent wins and Lake Volta drops back to the minimum for the first time and may find a few of these too speedy.
