Verdict

A competitive handicap to start proceedings with Victoria Drummond upped in class after romping home by a wide margin at Southwell on her handicap debut. She’s penalised for that success while Grand Inquisitor is another facing a tougher task after going close at Kempton. Daawy’s winning run came to an end off today’s mark at York last time but Restorer is only a pound higher than last month’s victory in this grade at Leicester given he’s yet to win on the all-weather. By contrast, MOUNT TAHAN (NAP) is at his best on the Tapeta having won three times at Wolverhampton. He went close at Chelmsford recently under today’s apprentice and Kevin Ryan’s charge gets the vote to make another bold bid. Theglasgowwarrior represents last year’s winning yard and Indianapolis debuts for new connections having won a maiden in Ireland for Ballydoyle.
