In depth
Verdict
Eden Mill won at Kelso to open his account over hurdles and makes more appeal than course and distance winner North Parade, whose victory came on heavy ground. MONTREGARD ended last season with a maiden hurdle success at Warwick when beating a subsequent winner and the half-brother to the high-class hurdler Protektorat can make a winning debut in handicaps. Kitesurfer is preferred to Millie Of Mayo of the rest.
