        Verdict

        There is very little for backers to go on here with none of the nine runners having raced previously, so a close inspection in the paddock beforehand and the betting market are likely to provide the best guide to the outcome. Among those worthy of a mention are Lady Mo from the Bill Turner stable that does well with its two-year-old horses at this stage of the season. Straw Poll, who is by Dixieland Band, appeals most on breeding but there was little encouragement from Mick Channon's stable at Doncaster last week and he may be best watched. The booking of Kevin Darley for Alan Berry's Mujadil filly Designer City takes the eye. Marcus Eile is a half-brother by Daggers Drawn to six-furlong juvenile winner Bailieborough and warrants respect. Nigel Tinkler's youngsters rarely win first time out so it would be a surprise if Westborough were good enough to take a hand here. Peggy Naylor, who is out of a Risk Me mare, would not want the ground to dry out any further and appeals most of the remainder. On the limited evidence available the tentative selection would have to be Lady Mo from the Bill Turner stable.
