Verdict
The Barry Hills-trained Craiova looks to have been found a decent opportunity to finally open his account. The son of Turtle Island found one too good in all three of his starts as a three-year-old and had to settle for third spot on his all-weather debut behind Mister Sweets at Lingfield last month on his return. That should have put the four-year-old spot on for a return to turf and, with the stable in fine form, he is taken to open his account. The rest of the older horses make limited appeal and the main danger to the selection may come from one of the classic generation. Mark Johnston's horses have looked made a quiet start to the campaign so Investment Affair, who was well held on his only start as a juvenile, is likely to be better for the outing. A bigger danger to the selection could be New Seeker, for who the booking of Kieren Fallon takes the eye. Not disgraced behind the useful Trade Fair on his debut as a two-year-old, the son of Green Desert faces nothing of that calibre today and he could go close. The remainder make limited appeal.
