Verdict

Pretend won the All-Weather Championship Sprint last year but has not raced since last summer while Buratino has yet to match last season’s best form though he did carry a penalty when only fourth at Haydock last time. Markaz drops back down in trip with his only success last season coming over 7f and Mr Lupton is preferred having won a valuable sprint handicap at York a fortnight ago. But a chance is taken on WATCHABLE in this as he finished third in Listed company at Salisbury recently when ahead of both Naadirr and Polybius and should be in the mix with a similar effort. Chookie Royale has not been at his best since scoring at Kempton early in the year and was behind Listed winner Rivellino at Lingfield in February.
