Verdict

Alan King sent out last year’s winner and Twilight Twist made a winning debut over hurdles when successful at Huntingdon last month. But TOO FRIENDLY is rated higher on the Flat and also made a winning start over timber when scoring at Stratford - the latter is taken to edge the opener. Bamboo Bay won on the Flat in Ireland in August but debuts for new connections along with Johnny Boom, who won three times on the level this year and has joined Brian Ellison. Galah is another new arrival from the Flat and is rated much higher under that code than Oot Ma Way.
