Verdict

Captain Quint made a winning debut over timber with a victory over 2m at Hexham while One Fine Man opened his account over hurdles when successful at Cartmel back in May. Marble Sands was beaten a length at Lingfield by a Paul Nicholls-trained winner and the latter runs MR GLASS, who returned from a wind operation to land the odds at Chepstow with the minimum of fuss. There’s plenty more to come from him and he gets the vote. Coolbane Boy looks no nearer winning but point-to-point winner Loughderg Rocco was sold for £75,000, though has no easy task on his debut under Rules.
