        Verdict

        MY DAD SYD won a higher grade handicap at Newbury a week ago and is taken to shrug off the 6lb extra and go in again. Alice Thornton won easily over track and trip a fortnight ago but is upped in class off a 10lb higher mark while Gun Case only recorded a narrow-margin victory at Redcar recently and has a 3lb rise to contend with. Athollblair Boy was beaten only a short-head here under today’s apprentice last time and Bahamian Bird has been thereabouts at the track off similar marks of late.
