        Verdict

        A difficult getting out stakes for punters with a number of in-form rivals in opposition. Contract Scotland was given a good ride when produced late to land the spoils at Hexham earlier in the month. Lennie Lungo's charge seems ideally suited by both trip and ground and must go close again off a 5lb higher mark. Jallastep needed every yard of the two-mile trip when scoring at the same track last time out and will be well served by the step up in distance here. Jim Goldie's representative is unexposed and is open to further improvement while Hurricane Bay has shown little in three starts to date but hails from a top yard and may do better on his handicap bow. Ello Ollie has held his form well of late and can't be discounted despite top weight while Borrisheen Bay is now beginning to look well handicapped again and is another to consider in an open event.
