In depth

Verdict

Bea Ryan made a decent start when fourth at Thirsk but the race isn’t working out and the same can be said of the Newbury contest Rock Boy Grey finished fifth in last month. Cuddington disappointed here after finishing fourth on his debut while Kavora’s recent second came in a seller. Jim Crowley sticks with MUBHIJ rather than the newcomer Algaffaal, despite the former making only a modest start at Kempton earlier this month. He gets a speculative vote to show a big improvement while a couple of newcomers take the eye. Weekday is the first foal of a Group 1 winner and Magistrate is a half-brother to top-class sprinter Marsha and both should noted in the betting.
