Verdict

Coeur de Lion attempts to win another consolation race having landed the Chester Plate in May. He faced a tough task in the Ascot Stakes last time but beat Suegioo, Always Resolute and Michael's Mount at Chester. The latter went on to win at Pontefract and is penalised while Carnwennan has been raised a further 4lb having won a lower grade race over 2m at Chelmsford. BUSY STREET has been struggling on Turf since finishing third over course and distance in a competitive handicap here in April. He’ll relish this return to the all-weather and Mick Appleby’s charge is fancied to go close again. Several step up in trip with Rare Groove preferred in this grade to Theglasgowwarrior and Lissitzky but the unexposed Canford Heights won over 1m6f last year and should be sharper for a recent comeback.
