Verdict

CANAGAT was sent off favourite here earlier in the week on his debut for David O’Meara and duly returned an easy winner in a first-time hood. He’ll be raised by more than today’s 5lb penalty for that and can go in again. Tacitus and Perfect Soldier placed over 7f on their latest starts while We Still Believe wasn’t beaten that far when fourth over track and trip. Jumby Breeze makes her handicap debut and may improve.
