Verdict
Soft ground is an unknown for several of these but not Yarmouth winner Little Brown Trout nor RAASEL. Marcus Tregoning’s colt was always travelling best when beating the 89-rated Amarillo Star on debut over 5f at Bath and the extra furlong is unlikely to pose any problems for this unexposed type. Kuwait Direction hasn’t raced since down the field in the Coventry Stakes in June but Smokey Bear and Brad The Brief have been winning in lesser company more recently. Last Surprise can’t be ignored and makes more appeal than fellow filly Jeanie B on these terms.
