Battleofthesomme won off this mark over fences at Southwell last week but is 0-5 over hurdles and soft going is a slight concern. PERCY THROWER, on the other hand, has been thriving on the surface, winning here and at Southwell in the space of six days last month. He’s been raised a further 6lb but regular pilot Ben Godfrey can claim his full allowance in this. Highland Bobby didn’t quite last home over 2m2f at Stratford last month and is another with claims and Wenceslaus is only 2lb higher than when successful in this last year and arrives off the back of a win over fences.
