MAQSAD (NAP), disappointing on her second start last season, looked an entirely different proposition when outbattling a well-touted Gosden runner in a maiden here on her reappearance. The first two left the others trailing and the daughter of Siyouni, who has entries in both the Oaks and the Coronation Stakes, looks one to follow. The Gosden team run Shambolic, who contested Group 1 races here and at Saint-Cloud in October though her earlier wins haven’t worked out. I'll Have Another, who is conceding weight, and Mona Lisa's Smile look a bit exposed but Lady Adelaide was just behind Wednesday’s Ascot winner Muchly on debut before winning narrowly at Kempton and Clematis showed a good turn of foot on her introduction at the same track.
