In depth

Verdict

Osolomio is taken to get the better of Trafalgar Day and Summer Lodge in a competitive finale. Mark Brisbourne¿s Trafalgar Day improved for the step up in trip on his seasonal re-appearance at Chester and after finishing a good third that day, this lightly raced type can play a part here. After a pleasing run behind Plum Pudding at Newmarket, Summer Lodge disappointed when finishing a remote third next time. However, Mark Tompkins¿ runner may improve for the step up in trip and after a rest he may come back a fresh horse. Osolomio only saw the racecourse once as a juvenile but has been kept busy this season. He has been knocking at the door and ran perhaps his best race of the season when a close second at Catterick. He is clearly well treated and Osolomio can end the day on a winning note for punters.
