Blackrod has struggled and switched yards since winning this last year with several of these behind. Above and Chairmanoftheboard filled the places while Raatea, Apollo One, Strike Red and subsequent Ayr Gold Cup winner Summerghand finished further behind. The latter beat Juan Les Pins at Ayr but PROBE also beat a couple of the above as well as Leap Abroad and Admiral D when second over track and trip last month and Jennie Candlish’s charge gets the vote on that more recent form. Tanmawwy also ran well recently when narrowly beaten at Newbury while Lethal Levi completed a double on the July Course here last summer.
