Verdict

Last year’s winner Cemhaan is 9lb higher this time having subsequently beaten Hms President back here in August. Firstman is 11lb higher than when successful at Dundalk earlier in the year while Halic has been in fine form in lower grade races on the all-weather. Duke Of Verona and Legendary Day are recent winners carrying penalties while Adjuvant has a shout on last season’s third in the Melrose Handicap at York. But Listed winner ROBERTO ESCOBARR will be sharper for a reappearance at Wolverhampton in March on his first start gelded and the Haggas charge gets the vote.
