An impressive 10-length winner of a maiden over track and trip, SOBETSU sets out to prove she’s the real deal. Beaten over 7f here on her debut by Spatial, the latter was behind Charlie Appleby’s subsequent Group 1 winner Wuheida before that so the Godolphin trainer should have a good measure of his filly’s ability. Group 1 form is represented by Hydrangea’s short-head defeat in the Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh though Ryan Moore rides third-placed Rhododendron over this longer trip. Aidan O’Brien bids for his third straight win having landed this with Minding last year. Rich Legacy came good again in the Group 2 May Hill at Doncaster over today’s trip and should confirm running with Urban Fox but the maiden winners Easy Victory and Fleabiscuit have it all to prove at this level.
