      Verdict

      Dark Thirty was a fair fifth in the Chesham Stakes at Ascot but others have more scope. For A Laugh was very green at Sandown but LION OF WAR has proved a quick learner. The Roaring Lion colt didn’t have much to beat at Newcastle on his second start but could not have been more impressive and he might know too much for Victory Dance and Isaac Shelby, debut winners here and at Newbury respectively.
