Verdict

Colonel Frank got up in the shadows of the post in a similar race over course and distance last week but is penalised. The going looks too quick for Nottingham runner-up Alaadel while stablemate Swiss Knight appears out of sorts. Musharrif is in form but seems to reserve his best for Pontefract. ICE LORD has had another break since a fast-finishing fourth on the Rowley Mile here in April but obviously goes well fresh and came good at this time last year. Count Otto didn’t get a clear run in last week’s Stewards’ Cup consolation at Goodwood and may be the danger.
