Verdict

Hafit disappointed attempting to land the odds in Listed company at Haydock though William Buick still prefers him to stablemate and Sandown novice winner Goldspur. Aidan O’Brien has won two of the last four renewals and Bluegrass won a maiden at the Curragh in August but compatriot UNCONQUERABLE (NAP) may edge this. The latter placed under Frankie Dettori in the Royal Lodge over a mile here last time and a stamina-packed pedigree suggests he can improve again over this longer trip. The remainder have plenty to prove at this level.
