      Verdict

      LIGHT ANGEL made a bold bid over course and distance on his handicap debut when beaten less than a length. John Gosden’s grey gets another chance as that looks stronger form than Sir Arthur Dayne’s second at Ffos Las and the remainder are all handicapping for the first time. Tomfre defied a penalty to score over 6f at Pontefract and looks a threat while both Visible Charm and Incinerator won maidens over the latter distance at Nottingham and Catterick respectively. But the former had earlier placed over 7f in soft ground at Sandown and the Godolphin charge may prove the biggest threat on that form.
