Verdict

ULTRA VIOLET made an eye-catching debut over 6f here in June. Left at the start, she not only made up the lost ground but won going away by no less than eight lengths. Ed Walker’s filly could be anything and is preferred to Listed runner-up Light Blush. The latter has strong claims on that Sandown form having finished ahead of both Romsey and West End Girl, though the latter failed to get a clear run and represents last year’s winning yard. Dark Lady could only manage fourth over 6f in the Princess Margaret at Ascot last time while Soffika also steps up in distance after making a winning start at Pontefract. Ananya scored over course and distance last month and makes more appeal than the novice winners Dalanijujo and Diamond Sparkles.
