        Verdict

        A typically wide-open handicap for three-year-olds confirmed by the fact only one favourite has been successful in the last 11 renewals. Matrooh will probably start somewhere near the head of the betting after finding the progressive Remote too good at Doncaster and Tarikhi will be fancied to improve on his recent second in the Britannia at Ascot where he beat several of these including Sea Shanty. Space Ship is not certain to appreciate the drop back in trip after a good effort over 1m4 in the King George V handicap at Ascot and the improving One Pekan makes more appeal. Frankie Dettori has partnered GOODWOOD MIRAGE to both his wins including when beating a subsequent winner at Goodwood last month. Bill Knight's colt is taken to shrug off a 7lb rise and go in again with further progress expected.
