Verdict

In the opener, Degas Art is selected ahead of Private Business and Novellara. Degas Art ran a blinder to be fourth in the King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot last time, where Morghim and Youmzain were behind him, confirming his progressive nature. He looks the one to beat today. Jadalee is improving but needs to find more to score, while Private Business has performed creditably in Group company without looking quite a Group level performer just yet. However, he is entitled to respect in this filed, as is Novellara, who ran better than her Ribblesdale finishing position might suggest last time, but the vote stays with Degas Art.
