Verdict
MALC ran a stormer in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot and a repeat of that performance will see him go close this afternoon. Purosangue was impressive at Haydock Park and is worthy of this step up in class. Mountain Bear may have been beaten on debut at The Curragh but he defied market weakness when making a winning return later that month. Lake Forest is closely related to winners over further though he was anything but slow when despatching rivals on his racecourse debut. Chief Mankato may have been a surprise winner at Windsor but the second has boosted the form since when framing up in the Windsor Castle Stakes.
