Verdict

There is not a lot of form for backers to go on in this opening event and what can only be a tentative vote goes to ACIANO, who represents the in-form yard of Brian Meehan and he looks worth siding with having shown improved form at Sandown last month from his debut outing at Newbury. Mahmood Al Zarooni's Auden is an interesting newcomer, while Paul Cole's Diamond Penny has shown gradual improvement in recent starts and cannot be discounted following a fair effort at York last time. Giles Bravery's Grandmas Dream has plenty of experience but is becoming expensive to follow and of more interest may be William Knight's Noonenose, who stepped up from his debut effort when finding just Titus Mills too good at Ascot last month. Peter Chapple-Hyam's Miss Exhibitionist is another to consider but it is Aciano that gets the verdict.
