    Verdict

All sorts of improvement expected here in this small field but the tentative vote is given to MY SON MAX over Orientalist and Klammer. The last-named was well-backed on debut and wore down Royal Exchange in the dying strides at Newbury last time out. He looks an exciting prospect and with his dam staying well this extra distance shouldn't be a worry. However My Son Max also made a pleasing impression at Nottingham when seeing off Diamond Geezah. The form of that race is a little mixed but he represents an all-powerful yard who have a line on nearly every single juvenile race run this season and with improvement to come he can win again. Also penalised for a win on debut is Orientalist who also obliged at Nottingham. The longer trip won't be a problem for this Haafhd colt (dam a six furlong winner as well) and a bold bid is anticipated. Alfraamsey and So Is She both get weight from their rivals due to their 'non winner' status. Both step up in trip and the former in particular caught the eye with a strong late finish at Lingfield last time out. An intricate novice stakes with the most marginal of nominations going to My Son Max.
