Verdict
A novelty race confined to greys and the vote goes to Smart Predator while Cape St Vincent, Silver Elite and Fiveoclock Express rate as the chief dangers. John Quinn's charge is an infrequent visitor to the winner's enclosure these days but did mange to get his head in front at Redcar in June and showed he remains in good heart when a close third over this trip at Doncaster last time. Well treated on the pick of his old form, the Polar Falcon gelding is expected to swoop late on the scene in the hands of Keith Dalgleish. Cape St Vincent makes his handicap debut having landed a weak Wolverhampton maiden last time but is open to plenty of improvement and should give a good account while Silver Elite is on the same mark as when successful at the same venue but has yet to reproduce her all-weather form back on turf. Fiveoclock Express has proved a consistent sort of late but may ideally prefer further so Smart Predator is taken to concede weight all round.
