Verdict
Not much form to go on and, as ever in this type of event, the market will provide plenty of clues. Sir Michael Stoute continues in excellent form and the Freemason Lodge handler will be hopeful of adding to the tally with Red Bloom. The daughter of Selkirk carried a lofty reputation on her debut at Newbury last month and showed plenty of promise when a staying-on third behind a useful prospect. Sure to be sharper for the experience, the well-bred juvenile will appreciate the step up in trip and sets a fair standard. The Peter Harris-trained Silk Fan also showed plenty of ability on her initial start when a close second on her debut at Pontefract in June and is another who will prove suited by the extra furlong. Amanda Perrett's Enrapture and John Gosden's Cranachan are well-bred newcomers who should be noted in a race that should produce its share of future winners.
