Verdict
A winner over 7f at Newbury, Blackout carries 6lb extra and his earlier efforts over a mile don’t inspire much confidence. But, in his favour, Ryan Moore takes over the reins which suggests he’s preferred to stablemate and maiden winner Feed The Goater. CLIFFHANGER is also a maiden winner over 7f at Lingfield where she beat an odds-on favourite. A half-sister to Listed miler Chil The Kite, Paul Cole’s filly gets the nod in this. Briyouni failed to land the odds at Ripon having won at Nottingham earlier but Mercifilly could go well on her handicap debut.
