        Verdict

        Frantanck justified favouritism at Goodwood after a debut third at Newcastle but FIRST RULER’s form looks stronger. The Dubawi colt doesn’t look an easy ride but beat a big field at Doncaster on his second start and should improve further as he gains experience. Godolphin also run the newcomer Sense Of Wisdom and Age Of Sail ran in their colours when favourite on his debut at Goodwood in September, though has since switched to Joseph Parr’s yard. A E Housman has a mix of speed and stamina in his pedigree and is preferred to Rogue Rocket of the others.
