    Verdict

ABATE gets the nod in a tight finale as he won off a pound higher mark over track and trip last summer and has been thereabouts in his last two starts at Nottingham. A good run from Mister Bluebird in the previous race would boost the claims of Concierge while Mohammed Tabti’s claim reduces the welter burden of Many A Star, who had Akkeringa well behind at Ascot last month. Crimson Sand is getting no help from the handicapper but there are possibilities about Castana Dia and Lovely Breeze while Antiphon was only beaten a nose at Newbury after winning at Windsor. Kit Gabriel could also figure but Spring Bloom has been edging up the weights without winning.
