Verdict
With last year's winner Nayef defecting earlier in the week this doesn't look a strong renewal and Noverre is the TEAMtalk selection to take full advantage. Godolphin's charge has failed to greet the judge since landing the Sussex Stakes last season. However, the four-year-old seems best at this trip nowadays and put up a fine performance when third in the International Stakes at York in August. A repeat may prove good enough on this occasion. Henry Cecil's Burning Sun is a lightly raced type who remains capable of further progress and has been the subject of glowing home reports but even his best form falls short of what is required. Moon Ballad was a most impressive Group 3 Goodwood winner last month when making all but won't find it so easy to dominate in the samae fashion against this calibre of opponent. The Italian Derby hero Rakti is a fascinating challenger from overseas and can be forgiven his poor effort last time in testing conditions while Storming Home enjoyed a confidence booster last time and could go close at a fair price. Earl Of Sefton winner Indian Creek clearly acts well on the track as he was also third in this event twelve months ago. David Elsworth's charge is another capable of reaching a place if putting his best foot forward in a race that should be run to suit with a likely strong pace.
