Verdict
Damika wore a visor for the first time when gaining a shock victory in a better race than this at Nottingham and is now tried in blinkers so could spring another surprise. West Coast Dream had been gradually inching his way down the weights before gaining a comfortable victory at Windsor but has been punished with a massive 10lb rise and is now on his highest ever mark. STEPS was behind Damika at Nottingham but is 7lb better off and has since run quite well at York. He's only 1lb higher than for his last success at Doncaster in October and can get back on the winning trail. Noverre To Go is best on either Polytrack or faster ground than he'll face here while Kingsgate Choice still looks a few pounds high.
