Verdict

East Yorkshire trainer Declan Carroll doesn't send many here so the presence of the improving Prophesy, who tackles this trip for the first time, is noted. Prussian also travels from Yorkshire and he's run in better company since his Redcar maiden success. Touch Gold has been hit with a 10lb rise for making all over 1m1f on fast ground at Yarmouth and that could just hand the advantage to DARK STRANGER. John Gosden's colt landed a maiden on Polytrack in March and didn't reappear until last month where he ran well for a long way in a Sandown handicap. He looked just in need of the run that day and has the potential to go on to better things. Perfect Delight didn't enjoy the fast ground in the Tattersalls Millions here last month after scoring on ground with some give at Newbury but Educate may prove a bigger threat as he failed to stay 1m4f in very testing ground here last time after an easy victory over this trip at Yarmouth.
